Maximum Power Transfer Theorem: A Simplified Approach

Abstract

This brief note illustrates a simplified approach for deriving the maximum power transfer condition through simple algebraic manipulation. The approach allows students in introductory electrical and electronic engineering courses to be introduced to this important concept before they have acquired the background calculus necessary for traditional treatment of the topic.
