Motivating engineering undergraduates with practical problems
In this paper, a nine-hour practical session suitable for second-year engineering undergraduates is proposed and discussed. The aims and objectives of the practical session, as well as the tasks for the students are clearly formulated. The domains of each task are analysed. The existing practices are reflected and reviewed and a new assessment scheme is proposed.
