Microprocessor control of a self-excited induction generator
The paper describes an experimental self-excited induction generator for a microhydro system with electronically switched active and reactive power regulators under microprocessor control, to maintain a constant-frequency constant-voltage output. Steady state operation and transients are recorded, and the inherent flexibility of the microprocessor is demonstrated.
