Real time edge detection for Vidicon camera derived images
This paper describes a low-cost technique for the real-time detection of image boundaries within a television picture. The technique allows easy demonstration of the effect on image information of changing threshold levels and lighting conditions, as well as greatly reducing the memory requirement for image storage. Styles of edge information transmission are discussed.
