An experiment which is used in a course of lectures to illustrate the reciprocity property of piezoelectric transducers is described. A piezo-electric accelerometer is used as an exciter for the demonstration of the frequency response of a gramophone cartridge. The transfer relations are derived from a network model of the transducer. The response is compared with that obtained by a test record.
