In this paper a laboratory experiment illustrating applications of the bipolar junction transistor (BJT) to communication electronics when the BJT is operating in its large signal nonlinear region is described. The analysis of a large signal tuned amplifier, frequency multiplier, mixer, A.M. modulator, limiter, and oscillator are among those circuits studied.
