A First-Year Electrical Engineering Laboratory to Satisfy all Requirements?

This paper describes a first-year laboratory programme which seeks to satisfy several educational aims. The programme comprises three sections, formal experiments, project and ‘advanced’ experiments, each of which is described in detail. The reasons for this structure are then discussed together with initial impressions of its success.
