Normal and adaptive delta-modulation is simulated allowing display, examination and investigation of quantization noise, slope overload and threshold of coding. Suggestions for the construction of a special purpose unit are also given. The simulation formed part of the investigation and subsequent design of an adaptive delta-modulation delay system.
