Abstract
A number of examples have been presented in this paper which illustrate the polar loci approach to circuit analysis. These represent special cases of the bilinear or Möbius transformation which is used in conjunction with Complex Variables. The use of polar loci not only gives meaning to the bilinear transformation but also may aid in constructing the circular loci associated with phase shift networks, circle diagrams, automatic control system compensating networks, etc. In certain cases the polar approach is of marked advantage compared to using a rectangular co-ordinate system.
