This paper examines the problems encountered when batch-processing methods are used for N.C. (numerically controlled) work, and shows the extent to which various remote-access techniques can be used in solving these problems.
It then describes some of the features of a highly interactive N.C. system being developed utilizing the telcomp system, and indicates the advantages that are offered by this environment.
