Abstract
The following article was prepared by the Manpower Services Commission, the agency responsible for Skillcentres.
It is published partly for its inherent interest to members and partly to encourage members with experience of Skillcentres to comment on the effectiveness and relevance of the training given therein and the advantages and problems which accrue from the employment of Skillcentre trained personnel.
Clearly at a time when demand for people trained in instrumentation is growing it is important to make the best possible use of the training facilities which exist.
Members wishing to make their opinions known to the MSC are, therefore, invited to write to the Education Officer at the Institute, in the first instance. The comments, of course, do not need to be critical to be of interest.
