Abstract
The paper discusses the part that modern weighing techniques play in increasing the efficiency of the rolling mill operation. Areas of production loss are pinpointed and weighing systems are described which reduce the losses. The regulations for commercial weighing are discussed in terms of the requirements met in rolling mills.
