Abstract
The rheological properties of paper pulp are examined, and the relationship between yield stress and consistency is established.
A simple consistency transmitter based on yield stress measurement is described, together with observations on by-pass installation and evaluation procedures.
The prediction of performance from laboratory test data is demonstrated.
