Abstract
This paper discusses the advantages of frequency modulated transmission of information in plants, and how this philosophy is adapted in practice in the form of two instruments for on-line measurement of liquid and gas densities.
The importance of measuring density is well appreciated for on-line blending and various forms of quality control applications, but special attention is drawn to its necessity in gas flow metering.
