Abstract

I would like to say a warm welcome to everyone as the new Editor in Chief of Measurement and Control. My first words are for Professor Ron Summers and his editorial board, who contributed a lot to the success of Measurement and Control, which is one of the publishing mediums for engineers from a broad range of disciplines.
As of 1 January 2018, the journal became an open access journal to disseminate the knowledge to a large volume of readers. The scope of the journal covers both theoretical and practical research outputs in measurement and control science, as well as the technologies blended with the heuristics, learning and intelligence.
In the coming years, we expect to see a boom in the applications of Internet of things, big data, cyberphysical systems, intelligent robots, machine learning, big data, autonomous systems, deep learning and the like. Gartner predicts the coming technologies periodically and the goal of Measurement and Control is to attract the recent and high-quality research outcomes on these topics.
Having this picture in the front, Measurement and Control, which is a SCI indexed journal, will be the home of breakthrough papers and interesting discussions.
Wishing a very productive Editorial term for Measurement and Control.
