Abstract

The winner of the 2015 engineering achievement award for the best Higher National Certificate (HNC) results in Measurement & Control is Mr Jordan Greaves.
Jordan’s application throughout the 2 years of studying the HNC Instrumentation and Control at Hartlepool has been excellent, and he has successfully balanced working as a Control and Instrumentation Apprentice at EDF Hartlepool with college work to achieve Distinctions in all eight units. Since starting with EDF in 2011, he has been awarded two accolades: Apprentice of the Year and Apprentices Apprentice of the year as recognition for his hard work and he has continued with this level of commitment during the HNC course. The lecturing team at Hartlepool College commended Jordan on his application and motivation in lectures and the quality of assessment work he submitted. Of particular note is his engineering project report – designing a temperature measurement loop within the CO2 drier system at Hartlepool Power Station, which earned him a Distinction.
Pictured with Jordan are Mr Jason Turner, course lecturer, and Mr David Otterson of the Teesside Section.
