Abstract

Notice - Proposed Merger of Manchester & Chester and Merseyside Local Sections
Notice is given that the committees of both Manchester & Chester and Merseyside Local Sections are proposing a merger of the two sections into a new single local section.
To the existing committees it seems likely there are useful synergies in terms of technical & social meetings, programme, budget, links to academia, etc.
The proposed name of the new local sections is “Central North-West”.
Members of either local section, with constructive opposition or viable alternatives to this proposal are asked to contact the appropriate Chairman of their local section.
Details can be found on the InstMC website www.instmc.org.uk

John expressed the Section’s thanks to Norman for a job well done. He added that it was very much “steady as she goes” but with an even stronger emphasis in promoting the Institute’s expansion programme.
