Abstract

The Harry Orr Award was created to honour the memory of one of the most respected lecturers in Instrumentation and Control at Teesside University. Harry’s special talent was in bringing out the best in his pupils, no matter what their personal circumstances.
The award this year was presented to Michael Harris, following his Graduation Ceremony. Pictured with David Otterson of the Teesside Section, Michael, gained a first class honours BEng in Instrumentation and Control and was this year’s best performing student. Seconded by his company to work on a London project, Michael intends to continue his studies towards a master’s degree at City University. We wish him well in his endeavours.
