Abstract
The Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of SAGE Publications Ltd as the new publisher of Measurement + Control. SAGE is one of the leading independent, international publishers of journals, books and electronic media for academic, educational and professional markets and has been responsible for the InstMC’s learned journal Transactions for the past 7 years. Since 2004, Transactions has moved ahead of 21 other journals in the category of Automation and Control Systems and ahead of 16 other journals in the category of Instruments and Instrumentation. The journal’s latest 2011 Impact Factor is 0.692 compared to 0.098 in 2004 (Source: 2011 Journal Citation Reports® (Thomson Reuters, 2012)). We hope the move to SAGE will replicate the success it has achieved with Transactions. Institute members can access the journal on http://mac.sagepub.com.
