After the research project has been designed and after the data have been collected and analyzed, then the researcher must report the results. Certain aspects of the research project must be presented and discussed in any statistical report, including decisions that determined the research design, the statistical methods that were used, the results that were obtained from the statistical analyses, and the interpretation that was made of the results. This information is important so the reader has a complete picture of the study protocol and can fairly evaluate the study. The information must be presented in sufficient detail and, at the same time, be concise enough not to bore the reader or make the report too voluminous.
