Abstract
Monte Carlo Theory, the computer applications of probability theory, is widely used by scientists in every field to describe real situations which have an element of chance. The Director of McGill's School of Computer Science has been very closely involved in research in clinical as well as fundamental medicine where applications of probability theory have been found to be very helpful.
