Abstract
Community-based corrections is a new dimension being added to the milieu of correctional devices for the criminal offender. One of the primary purposes of community-based corrections is the delivery of service, aiding in the reintegration of the offender into the community. Organization exchange theory is utilized as the theoretical basis for program implementation, a three-stage model is developed as a planning guideline for the acquisition of needed services, and afinal model is presented which serves an implementation function for the "ideal-type" model presented.
