This paper traces the onset of engineering psychology in Czechoslovakia from its heritage in “Arbeitswissenschaft,” or work study, prior to World War II to the present time. There is an examination of the various disciplines working in this field and their relation to each other. Included are a list of publications relevant to the field, including those written for physiologists and industrial uses.
