Abstract
This paper stresses the ecologist's point of view in developing countries, in response to those papers which did not refer to the utilization of the life sciences. The human factors specialist must stress the systems approach involving reciprocity between man and his total environment. He must also acquaint himself with the cultures of the people of the area, estimating how these factors will jibe with any technological advance he may bring in. Many agencies, national and international, are currently engaged in natural resources activities. These agencies should be utilized in the maintenance and enhancement of the environment. The human factors specialist should integrate his plans and programs with other specialists in his own and related fields.
