A DENTAL health education programme for pre- school children has been established in South East Staffordshire in response to data collected by the Department of Community Dental Health, which indicated that in certain areas within the district there were very high levels of dental caries among five-year-old schoolchildren. In an attempt to improve future dental health, dental manpower and resources have been directed towards pre-school children and their parents.
