IN November 1983, the Secondary Science Curricu lum Review published its policy document "Health and science education: proposals for action and consultation". Since then the consultation process based on that policy document has been taking place, and this paper reports on that process and re- examines the model of health education proposed within the document in the light of the comments generated.
