Abstract
OVER the last few months the research staff at the Council have examined ways in which research implementation procedures can be improved, and research administration simplified and rationahsed.
The overall aim of these efforts is to highlight and emphasise the quality and importance of research into health education issues, and by increasing the dissemination of research findings, stimulate further research proposals. As part of this process, a Research handbook has been produced which offers information on application procedures, guidelines for wnting protocols, and general information about rules and conditions under which grants are awarded Copies of the handbook will be available, on request to the research officer, from January 1985. Further information on current research and other relevant information will be produced as supplements to the handbook at regular intervals. Details will be given in this section of the Journal.
Details of projects commissioned, new projects approved, and research recently completed are outlined below Any enquiries should be addressed, in the first instance, to the research staff at the Council.
