Abstract
A QUESTIONNAIRE was sent to those students who took a certificate in health educa tion course in the year 1973-74. The replies demonstrated the difficulties inherent in devising a syllabus on health education teaching for groups of students from a wide variety of pro fessional backgrounds within the health services. They show that, on the whole, students felt that they had benefited from the course and were able, within certain local constraints, to use positively the skills and knowledge they had acquired. They gave indications that the students had been able to use the course to extend not only their expertise but the variety of audiences with which they used that expertise. The need for further research was also indicated.
