Abstract

YESTERDAY'S killer diseases are being replaced by new ones of our own making, says Sir Harold Evans, Chairman of the Health Education Council. Sir Harold, writing in the Council's latest annual report, says that the great killer diseases of the past, and the conditions that brought them about, are now largely under control. We ought to be much healthier, he adds.
