Abstract
At the end of April this year, the Editor visited Mr. J. B. Priestley at his home in Warmickshire and enjoyed a conversation on the "uses" of literature in health education. Mr. Priestley agreed that the dis cussion should be tape-recorded and published. We wish to express our gratitude to him.
