MRS. G. M. GOLDSWORTHY.—Trained at Gipsy Hill Training College. Taught at Bedales Junior House, then took charge of the Gipsy Hill Demonstration School (The Rommany Nursery School). In 1939 took charge of various L.C.C. evacuated residential Nursery Schools and in 1943 appointed Organiser of L.C.C. evacuated residential Nursery School.

ELIOT SLATER, M.A., M.D., F.R.C.P.—Assistant Medical Officer, Maudsley Hospital. During the tenure of a Rockefeller Fellowship he worked in a research institute in Germany 1934-35, and witnessed the subordination of unbiassed research to State politics.
