Abstract

This article outlines some of the influences on feminist theology and the way it has developed over its brief history. It looks at tradition, scripture, doctrine and praxis, and the ways in which beginning with the lived experience of women enriches our appreciation of these areas. The article demonstrates ways in which feminist theologians are engaging with contemporary issues in many different settings around the world.
