Abstract
The God Delusion has been a popular best-seller. It launches a no-holds-barred attack on religious belief, particularly Christian theistic belief, by an author celebrated as a scientific populariser. This article compares and contrasts five such responses, and offers some comments on the effectiveness of this kind of response to Dawkins’ polemics.
