Abstract
Christian theology has to find a way of working which meshes with how people make meaning today. This article uses the concept of `soundtrack' in both literal and metaphorical senses. Music is a key `text' for many people, though other `texts' are used. A theological tradition is itself a `classic soundtrack' for it accompanies life and helps people interpret what is happening.
