Abstract
This article is a brief and unpretentious survey of the historical development of biblical interpretation in Latin America in the last part of the twentieth century, in order to help the reader to understand its present context. We consider the question of interrelatedness of subjects, methods and context. We reflect on the existing conditions of biblical reading in the continent, according to the new experiences and situations in the framework of globalization.
