Abstract
The purpose of the current article is to offer methods for conducting hypothesis testing associated with disattenuated validity coefficients that overcome potential limitations of some previously suggested approaches. Through casting classical test theory's notion of reliability in the form of structural path models, such hypothesis testing may be accomplished in a fairly straightforward manner using hierarchically related structural equation models. Methods for hypothesis testing of single disattenuated correlations, as well as for testing of independent and dependent disattenuated correlations, are presented.
