The efficacy of the F, K, L, F-K, and O-S scales of the MMPI-2 in detecting fake good, fake bad, and honest profiles was investigated. A total of 110 undergraduate educational psychology students were administered the MMPI-2 under instructions to fake good, fake bad, or respond honestly. Multiple analysis of variance resulted in a significant (p < .001) difference on all validity scale scores of the three groups of respondents.
