A method is outlined for the analysis of the shape of an individual profile of scores on a standardized test battery such as the WAIS-R. The method makes use of a simultaneous test procedure allowing for an overall test of profile flatness, together with follow-up tests on all contrasts of interest, including any that may be suggested by an examination of the observed-pattern of scores.
