Relationships between students' expectancies of their introductory psychology class and their midterm and final course evaluations were investigated. Course evaluation forms administered at the very beginning of a term defined the expectations, and were compared to midterm and final ratings. Expectations were related to midterm and end-of-the-term ratings of teacher warmth and inspiration and work demands, but the relationships were not great.
