Abstract
The factorial validity of the Attitudes Toward Mainstreaming Scale was supported for a general adult population. A principal components factoring procedure identified four factors: Classroom Functioning, Learning Capability I, Learning Capability II, and General Mainstreaming. Coefficients of internal consistency ranged from .82 to .90. Intercorrelations between factors ranged from .41 to .62. Results were compared to the factor structures previously identified for preservice and inservice teachers.
