Abstract
The Ball Foundation, Glen Ellyn, Illinois A number of studies describing the utility of the Ball Aptitude Battery (BAB) is presented. These studies, all of which were of the concurrent type (i.e., predictor and criterion data having been obtained at the same time), were conducted with carpenters (N = 184), horticulturists (N = 133), certified public accountants (N = 42), production workers (N = 67), and school teachers (N = 69). Validity coefficients represented by zero-order and multiple correlation coefficients are reviewed. Results showed that BAB tests demonstrated promising criterion-related validity relative to instruments of success in all five groups.
