The Arizona Heart Institute Cardiovascular Risk Factor Questionnaire was validated with respect to dual criteria of electrocardiogram and treadmill examinations. The differential diagnostic properties of both criterion methods were discussed together with relative contributions from each of the predictor variables. The reported findings are relevant for efforts of the preventive medicine to lower the frequency of occurrence of heart disease.
