The possibility of using a Q-analysis also for nominal data is discussed. The J-index is suggested as a suitable measure of similarity between the persons in this case. An example is given where ten persons should sort sixteen playing cards into as many groups as they wished. A Q-analysis was made on these data giving a natural two-dimensional structure.
