Abstract
A replication is presented of Louis Guttman's radex structure of intelligence tests. Thirteen ability tests were administered to 200 pupils. The tests were defined within the framework of a mapping sentence containing four content facets: rule type (inference, application, practice), the modalities of the testee's expression (verbal, numerical, figural) and language of communication (paper-and-pencil, manual), dimensionality of object portrayed (two, three). Intercorrelations among test scores were analyzed by means of Smallest Space Analysis, SSA-1. The structure of the two-dimensional space conformed to the hypothesized facets as predicted by the mapping sentence.
