Abstract
The Leisure Activities Questionnaire (LAQ) and the Paragraphs About Leisure (PAL) were administered to independent samples of undergraduate college students. A multitrait-multimethod matrix was computed to compare the descriptions of ten traits (leisure activities) obtained by using two methods (LAQ and PAL). The multitrait-multimethod matrix was analyzed by employing an ANOVA procedure and a multiple-group confirmatory factor analysis. The two procedures revealed a high degree of convergent and discriminant validity for the two instruments.
