Abstract
A general program for analyzing category- or frequency-data obtained from questionnaires is described. The frequency distribution, category percentages, median, and semi-interquartile range are computed on each variable. In addition, for each pair of variables to be compared, a contingency table of observed and expected cell frequencies and percentages, the observed and critical values (.05 and .01) of chi square, the associated number of degrees of freedom, Cramer's statistic, Kendall's tau, and the phi coefficient (for 2 × 2 tables) are computed. Two parameter cards and a card for each pair of variables to be compared, together with the category- or frequency-data cards, must be punched as input.
