The restriction of an even number of trials for the Shine-Bower single-subject ANOVA is removed. The associated Shine-Bower error term is made sufficiently flexible to allow the experimenter to base it on any suitable part or combination of suitable parts (chosen on an a priori basis) of the single subject's process proceeding across trials.
