Abstract
As a part of a larger study of the impact of declining enrollments, the investigators undertook a study of neighborhoods and neighborhood schools. Case study data from three similar school districts exhibiting variation in "neighborhoodness" are presented and analyzed. Implications for school and administrative strategy are discussed in the light of neighborhood apperception.
