Abstract
Although it has often been proposed that schools of education should train a variety of specialists in the field of educational administration, little empirical work has been carried out to determine the "demand" on the part of school districts for various administrative specialists. The study reported here explores and compares the demand for four administrative specialists: instruc tional, political, managerial, and technical. Jack E.
