Abstract
Previous research has underscored the saliency of pupil control in the organizational life of schools. The present investigation is concerned with the relationship between the pupil control ideology of educators and the "openness" of the organizational climates of elementary schools. James B. Appleberry is Assistant Professor of Educational Administration at Oklahoma State University and Wayne K. Hoy is Associate Professor of Educational Administration at Rutgers University.
